Triangle Park

Today we went to Triangle Park in downtown Lexington. It was a nice night out. Not too cold. They had an Ice skating rink outside with christmas music playing. It was really cute and festive. We really enjoyed it.

What makes Kiara happy:

Painting, coloring, drawing and reading are her most favorite things to do!! She's such a creative and artsy little girl. Love it.

I can't believe how December has creeped up on us and its almost Christmas. So much to do...I don't even have a meal planned out for that day. Pinterest here I come!!!. Pinterest has done so much for me and its made me pretty crafty at times. Didn't know I could be that crafty cuz in reality I'm not. Either that or I'm lazy!!! I prefer lazy!! Lol.

Anyways me and Joshua resurfaced an old coffee table we found at an antique store and made it into a chalkboard coffee table. It came out great and kid friendly too. We love it!! After we aced that project we are in search for more stuff to work on..that was fun.

Elf on the shelf has been so much fun kiara loves her Lily!! And I love seeing her face in the mornings. Overall it's been a fun little thing to do for Christmas. It's been so nice being here in Lexington! I know it won't last living here because well most likely move again. But living here has been pretty chill and comfy and I have met some wonderful people too.

This was just this morning!! SOmetimes i'm too lazy to dress up and go run or workout outdoors, so I workout at home. She quickly pulled out the yoga mat..she's so fun!!

So fun!!

Today was such a great morning! I'm still in runners high and I feel like I can't stop talking. Running is such an awesome drug haha. I ran with some friends and I got to meet new runners as well. We ran 8 intense miles, full of steep hills. Gosh I need to work on hills because they killed me this morning and not only that but I had done a leg and glute workout the day before so it really hurt. In a good way though. We ran all the way to Keeneland where our 5K was at and idk how I finished that because I was so low on fuel. My legs wanted to just give out. Next time I'm going to force myself to eat in the morning and not sleep at 1am the night before a long run. Such a bad idea but I'm done with it and it was a lot of fun just being around friends and runners. Such a good start to this weekend.

Lily the Christmas Elf

Greeting from Lily the Christmas Elf! She has arrived. I'm happy to start this tradition and I thank my mother in law for sending it to us. I wasn't going to do it this year but Sheila said she's at the perfect age. So now let the fun days begin.

Oh christmas tree...oh christmas tree!!

While we put up our fake little tree the other night, Joshua goofed around with iMovie for the first time and made this cute and cheesy video for our close friends and family. We are planning to make more of these fun videos just  because they were so much fun to do!!. It was hard for me to be serious though...I don't do serious lol. I repeat: THIS IS A LOW QUALITY SHORT FILM----DON"T JUDGE bahaha!! we had such a blast and I was laughing my head off because my husband wanted me to be serious in the parts where I had to explain why Christmas is special to me. I tend to laugh when I have to be serious...then I end up looking like a dork haha.

New look And a good deed!

Donated 12 inches of hair to locks of love. Was planning this for the longest time but I waited till the holidays because I knew it would be a nice thing to do too instead of doing it next year. Plus my hair was getting to long and I was kind of over the long already lol. I like a good change after all. I love it so much although my husband was the one who's still trying to get use to it. I think he shed a tear deep down when he saw me with the new hair bahaha. He loves my once long hair lol. Anyways I love the new hair! Yay for short! Im loving it for reals lol.

Oh and last night my husband made the best steak ever filet mignon with Roquefort cream sauce. He's an amazing cook. He got it from his momma. He's awesome and I love him.

Mommy and me date last week. We had white hot cinnamon chocolate and walked around the coffee shop looking at all the cute little things they had. I loved it here. Cute little hip shop.

Thanksgiving and a 5k

Thanksgiving was very different this year. Josh and I took Kiara to see Wreck It Ralph in theaters. Her very first movie and she loved it. She sat there with me looking so amazed and ate popcorn with me. She really enjoyed it till she fell asleep halfway through. She had a pretty early morning. Then after that we all went out to Cracker Barrel and had our thanksgiving there with all of our friends from Josh's work. It was very different for me since we didnt go out of town or have a bunch of family with us, but I really enjoyed it. I wish I would have taken some pictures but that day went by so fast. Oh well.

Finally this morning I had a 5k hunger run at Keeneland. It was a lot of fun but very cold too. Finished it with a time of 25:33. Not too bad...I mostly did it for a cause and to be thankful this year for all the blessings I've received. It truly has been a wonderful year for me. I couldn't be more grateful .

Our love is awesome, cheese ball and all. I wouldn't have it any other way. No one makes me laugh the way he does...flaws and all I love this man! He's my rock!! And I love our random texts as well as the cute and cheesy texts he sends me:

Missing our friends back in So FLO!

I don't think I remember ever blogging about my last few days in Florida, but this is one of them. The bottom picture was at this science center which wasn't from the last few days in Florida...it must have been like a month ago but i never blogged about it and the pictures are way too cute to pass up. 

I came to Florida hoping for the best and with a positive attitude I got that in return. The very best of friends. It was a whole year, i was pretty surprised we stayed in one place for that long. I got really comfortable...i'd say so comfortable that it made me so sad to leave this place. Although i'm happy where I live and it feels more like home here in Lexington. I miss the weather..its amazing weather in Florida and i miss wearing shorts and flip flops all the time. I miss my kindred spirit Corey and her hilarious jokes. I miss little hudson. I remember meeting them at the park and exchanging number. Then we come to find out our kids were only 5 days apart. Hudsons birthday is first, then Kiara's. I love how me and Corey can relate on so many levels. I swear she's like a long lost sista. I keep looking at pictures and It makes me miss my friends in Florida dearly. I can't wait to visit florida again. Hoping to go back next year.

Motherly Love

Just had to post these pictures because being a mother is the greatest blessing ever. I'm so happy to be able to be a stay at home mom to my Kiara thanks to my hard working husband. Being a stay at home mom has helped her social and developmental skills and she's definitely a smart little girl. Love her to pieces even when she's being extremely difficult.
