SUPERHERO SCRAMBLE!!

Okay for my March birthday I got myself into an OBSTACLE RACE event. I'm nervous like no other and since i'm turning the big old 25 waaaaahh!! (i'm kinda sad about this not going to lie) what better way to celebrate it than with super slime, water crossing, running and mud all over you!!!. so far 13 people in our team and I couldn't be more excited. I was able to host this event with Lisa and we were so close to not even doing it since this event was just around the corner. But since she's an avid health junkie she pushed it through and made it happen...thanks LISA!!! The ladies that i'm doing it all are nice and some of them almost double my age and are ELITE runners.,,,this makes me look sooo bad, but i have nothing to lose and a lot to gain!! friendships, fun time and a great sense of accomplishment.

DId i mention I'am nervous??? lol eeek!!!! I need to hit the pavement more. I will post the MIAMI pictures by the end of march since its on the 24th. WISHING MYSELF GOODLUCK!! i think i still got the sporty spice in me.

Mommy friends!

It's been nice having friends who also have children. Back in AZ it was mostly friends with no kids and even though it wasn't that bad I still wanted to be able to talk all about my child and find other mommy friends who shared the same things as me like being a mom.

So coming here to Florida I met a few gals whom i can relate to and its been so nice!! I also have the friends from the summer company that I made in Alabama they live quiet a few miles away from me so its been a bit hard to stay close and meet up often.My other really good friend (almost family) Laura Kirk only lives like 5-10 min so it's also nice to have her, she's definitely showed me around and where to take our kids to fun places and our little girls have fun together so I'm very thankful I have her.

On the other hand I'm happy I found Corey and her little boy Hudson. I met them at a park here in lantana and we exchanged numbers it was funny because one of the things she said was "now that we started this relationship you better not move". I laughed pretty hard and from there We quickly became comfortable around each other and we been hanging out with our kids from there. She is beyond cool not to mention her past career as a celebrity hair stylist....that would be my dream job!! Anyways It's fun to have someone I can joke around with because her humor is so similar To mine. Its also made me a lot more comfortable here and being able to plan play dates with our kids and even the thought of having a girls night is exciting to me!

Cupcakes and picnics!!

As we took a trip to the grocery store for a few things I needed we strolled by the bakery and deli aisle and Kiara noticed the cakes and cupcakes..her favorite. So I bought two a Italian cream cheese and a lemon cupcake. The whole way back home she kept asking about her cupcake it was pretty funny she even threw a few whimpers for it. I'm not sure how this became one of her favorite foods because I hardly ever buy cupcakes, the only time we eat them is if we go to birthday parties or i make some. My only guess is the valentines gift of a plastic shaped cupcake that she loves and that my mother and father in law sent her. She can say the word cupcake and you can clearly understand it too it's so cute!!!

Now that she is 19 months old she can say around 70-80 words and put words
Together like where did it go but say "where a go?" or what happen". Parents weren't lying to me when they kept telling me that they grow right before your eyes and now I'm to afraid to blink because she is growing way too fast. Now that I believe it I been capturing or trying to capture every moment on video or snapping pictures non stop. My world revolves around kiara so for those who are parents I'm sure you understand why my blogs are mostly about how wonderful my daughter is. I'm so sad that in five months shell be 2 years old!!! Oh goodness!!

Beach bumming it!!!

Who needs a lot of money when the beach is free?? I love that about living so close to it. Pack some snacks water etc...and call it a day,a family trip,whatever you want to call it!!!! It's beautiful;-)

Anyways we had a jolly time yesterday. Making sandcastles digging pointless holes like Josh was doing, and just spending it together as a family! It was sooo relaxing and so nice.

Valentines day!!

Hope everyone had a wonderful valentines day. I sure had a memorable one it consisted of two sick patients of Mine josh and kiara that needed my full blown TLC!!!!. The night before was the worst though it started out with kiara getting sick on us at target luckily we were out of the store and she threw up all over her car seat. Poor babies then we got home and Josh started feeling sick and boom they both were sick with the darn stomach flu. I was up all night with both of them and I was so happy not to have had it because that would have been super crappy!! I felt waves of nausea and a couple of bathroom trips but nothin too bad like what they had. It lasted all night and by seven the worst was over for the two. Then on valentines day josh was still feeling off and kiara was coming in and out of it but she is such a strong baby that she would still manage to play laugh and smile it was so sweet!!

I definitely played the supermom role and was on top of everything and taking care of both a bit stressing but overall it felt good to do this on my own without the help of my mom who was always there for me when I lived close to her lol. Anyways I still managed to do some home made little gift with kiara for Our sweet man. I placed hearts all around the house including one by the toilet that said hope you feel BETTO!! And he really Loved that one. It was fun to do something for him since I never have gotten anything or done anything like that for him on valentines day. Usually it was all about me, but this time I wanted it to be about him even if he was sick he enjoyed what me and kiara did for him. It was a valentines I will always cherish!!! Forever!!

And a thank you to the Kirk Family for sending us these delicious little cookies!! That was so sweet! Thanks guys.

Just an ordinary day!!

I took this picture and compared it to pictures of us when we were dating and oh how our faces have changed. My sweet puffin--ya I know everyone always asks me where I got that name and it was a name that I used on him since we were dating and a name that I haven't heard any one else call their husbands...i know I'm known for coming up with weird names like that.

But oh how our faces have changed I swear I'm getting older and march 21st I'll be 25!! Really not so happy about that. I been doing as much as I can to reverse aging but gravity seems to take control over that situation I'm hoping to age gracefully like my grandma has and my mom too. As for josh he doesn't seem to care he's a guy he's proud of his slowly balding head and extra weight put on over the years and I love that confidence he has I wish I could be that way with these stubborn five pounds I haven't been able to lose hopefully now that I started running things will change...I'm crossing my fingers really hard!! My face is maturing and even though I'm aging I will never inject myself with anything for my face weight loss or take the easy route for quick results. I will always do it the normal way with diet and exercise and by diet I mean healthy eating veggies fruits, vitamins, good food I tell ya.

But aside from all our appearances we haven't lost that love we hold for each other and that's what I appreciate the most. Josh is a great father and wonderful husband and best friend. And i consider myself an almost supermom hahaha....is that conceited lol okay in my world I'm super mom lol AMEN!

A Latte fun!!

Kiara violet and baby Scarlett has so much fun on Friday it was so cute watching them play and it made us forget about all therain that's been going on here in Florida!!! Ugh!!

We love hypoluxo!!

When we first moved to Florida is was expecting to be living close to the other states but remembering that eleven hour drive from mobile Alabama with a toddler in the back and a million things in my car and me alone following my husband in his truck is an experience I will never forget.!!! As I drove we passed so much of Florida it was crazy!! I think it went like this Pensacola Tallahassee Jacksonville Daytona beach Orlando west palm lake worth (hope thats right from what i remember) and then stayed at Waldorf Astoria hotel in boca raton for like what seemed to be eternity. Although it was nice having the cleaning ladies make our bed everyday and clean up after us ha ha I wanted a place to call home. Our condo took forever to get approved and I was scared that we'd never get it on time.

Luckily we moved in by November and now being here for almost four months in hypoluxo has been amazing. I truly miss my family but it's so nice being here. There is so much to do for my little Kiara and we literally only live like 2 miles away from the beach so we try to do that at least two times a week but with this raining season it's not happening. I'm thankful for everything and for my husband for working his butt off. We love it here and hope this can be our home for good. I've been  a lot of states already hahaha I'm pretty happy to say that!!

She loves to talk to daddy about doggies puppies airplanes and who knows what else she conjures up in that little mind of hers but love watching those two talk. Its too cute!!

Sweet giveaway!!

As a beginning runner this year i noticed several good runners on the street with all these cool gadgets and special shoes and attire. I felt quiet the beginner let me tell ya. Normal cotton t shirts some basketball shorts and running shoes, but definitely weren't the cool ones with all the bright neon colors on them and the fanny
Packs! I want to be one of them soo bad. Slowly I'm understanding some simple running tips like non cotton t shirts that absorb all your sweat but don't weigh you down , posture, what to eat before a run, post run etc...

Anyways that's far from what's important what's important is that even though I'm at a slow pace I'm lapping everyone on the COUCH!!! That's right and with that being said i would really like to improve that pace and know my heart rate as well and what better way than to have a polar watch like this one. Luckily I found a blog with someone who has very similar goals like me and is giving the greatest giveaway of all.

Catching up!!!

Oh goodness where has the time gone?? I hardly have time to blog anymore my days go
By way too fast and I wish I could have moment where I could lay in bed all day watching lifetime and crying at all the sappy stories.

But i had my past moments now its all about play time with my super cute little girl to give me plenty kisses and make my whole life more sunny!! I wouldn't change these
Moments for anything else. So far it's been nothing but park time museums indoor play areas and meeting new people and friends. She's growing up soo fast and This July shell be two years old!! (tear tear)

As for me I'm following a more healthier diet although I indulge whenever I want because I'd rather not over burn myself and quit. I been running in the mornings at least four times a week and right now I'm up to four miles without stopping I'm planning to do a 5k and will soon train myself even harder for the big Tough mudder Miami!!! In December!! I hope to do well in this 10-12 mile course full of gruesome obstacles. I'm now working on building a team with the help of this lady who I met while running she hosts several running days with people and so she agreed to team up and try to get people to join and she would design shirts as well. I'm hoping this all goes through if not I will go at it alone and that's totally fine too because this is something I been wanting to do for a long time and more for myself. Hope to one day do a triathlon until then dream big izzy I'm weak sauce for now!!

Wow I talk to much...oh and I tried getting my husband to do these with me unfortunately this is not his thing or so he says hahaha. I love him and he will always be my cheerleader;-) I'm more of the sporty type than hell ever be he's a book nerd and high into politics and history in religion... Not my cup of tea. Although I love my church and Sunday school;-) and happy to see kiara in nursery with all the little ones.
